Mr. Derek U. Obialo is a trial attorney. He founded this civil litigation firm in 2007 with a concentrated practice in construction and business litigation. He has tried jury and bench cases in Texas, and has been involved in some major construction and business lawsuits with outstanding favorable results. He has obtained million-dollar judgment for his clients, and was instrumental in holding a large-scale homebuilder responsible for deceptive practices following influx of mostly first-time-homebuyers needing redress for deception in home finance fraud and improper mortgage practices. 
Mr. Obialo holds a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from University of Miami, MBA from Houston Baptist University, Bachelor of Laws from Abia State University, and Barrister-at-Law from Nigeria Law School.
Mr. Obialo is licensed to practice law in all courts of Texas and the U.S District Court Southern District of Texas. ​Ms. Cali Crawford is a Houston native. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from University of Houston-Downtown. She works as a paralegal in the firm. 
Ms. Crawford worked for 8 years advocating for abused and neglected children in Harris County, Texas. In her spare time, she runs a non-profit that feeds, clothes, and provides necessities to the homeless and less fortunate.

July 24, 2017, Houston, Texas. Derek Obialo obtained $4.2 Million judgment in lawsuit involving financial leveraging firms. 
September 10, 2015, Houston, Texas. Derek Obialo successfully defended by dismissal of a $12 Million civil Racketeering Influence and Corrupt Organization  (RICO) lawsuit against 12 defendants in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas.

November 28, 2014, Houston, Texas. Derek Obialo made a special guest appearance on China's CCTV-America The Heat Show discussing newly passed Sub-Saharan Africa laws.

December 13, 2013, Houston, Texas. Derek Obialo obtained judgment on liability for DTPA (deceptive trade practice) lawsuit for odometer roll back lawsuit against a large heavy equipment dealer in the Texas Valley resulting in a significant settlement.

March 1, 2010, Austin, Texas. Texas Attorney General filed suit against Casa Linda Homes for deceptive trade practices in home purchase finance resulting in a public injunction from home sales and finance to protect the public. fraud and improper mortgage practices by home buyers. In November 2009, Derek Obialo, informed the AG's office of fraud and improper mortgage practices in home sales and mortgages following influx of several clients needing redress for deceptive trade practices. 

March 3, 2008, San Antonio, Texas. Derek Obialo scored a huge victory in San Antonio immigration court by successfully terminating deportation proceedings in favor of a 23-year old mother of a three-year old, in custody and facing mandatory detention and expedited deportation to a country she does not know. The proceedings was terminated, she was granted unconditional release and given a shot at U.S. citizenship.
